About the festival

The Sweet Sixteenth Meredith, held December 8 to 10, 2006, at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. Remembered as the hot Meredith, with three days of 40-plus temperatures and smoke haze from regional bushfires. Wedge-tailed eagles nesting near the site inspired the mascot Reggie The Wedgie. The one stage took in Band of Horses, The New Pornographers, The Presets, Rose Tattoo, Midlake, Kid Koala, The Drones, Augie March, the Cornelius Sensuous Showcase, Dallas Crane, Girl Talk, Datarock, The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, Tapes n Tapes, Wolf & Cub, Blue King Brown and Tex Perkins and Tim Rogers as T n T, with the Silence Wedge, the Tai Chi Masterclass and the Meredith Gift keeping the weekend's traditions alive.
