Meredith Music Festival

The Seventeenth Annual Meredith Music Festival, held December 14 to 16, 2007, at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. One stage fits all, with a full weekend of fluctuating hi-fidelity freedom under the eagles. The bill spanned Cut Copy, Hoodoo Gurus, The Gossip, Crystal Castles, Gotye, The Black Lips, Andrew W.K., Art Brut, Clutch, Dr Dog, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Midnight Juggernauts, Junior Reid, Sarah Blasko and Amanda Palmer, with a special guest MC appearance from Angus Sampson. The weekend's traditions ran on, from the Silence Wedge and the Meredith Sky Show to Master Song's Tai Chi Masterclass and the Meredith Gift. Last-minute additions included a short and sweet Friday-night turn from Amanda Palmer of the Dresden Dolls, a Melbourne stir from The Galvatrons, ex-TISM outfit ROOT!, gospel-tinged Black Pony Express and a Sunday-morning reverie with the Paul Williamson Hammond Combo. The Town Bikes returned as Special Gift Mistresses. Interstitial soundtrack duties fell to FB2, Richie 1250, Indra and Vince Peach.
