Meredith Music Festival

The 25th Annual Meredith, the Silver Jubilee, held December 11 to 13, 2015, at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. The red tree was painted silver for the birthday, and this was the year Things-On-Sticks were banned from the Amphitheatre after too many blocked views. On stage, Power kicked the thing off, Goat cast a spell in wild outfits, and Friday night delivered sublime sets from The Thurston Moore Band and Shellac, the latter touring Australia for the first time since 1992. Big Daddy Kane came, conquered and brought the party, while a 19 year old Tkay Maidza showed off a big future. The famed Meredith Sky Show turned up early on the Friday, set to Blue Monday. Saturday saw Briggs debut with The Children Came Back, The Peep Tempel send the crowd bat piss crazy to Carol, and Father John Misty deliver in oodles of spades, with Jessica Pratt, Julia Holter and GL among the highlights. Floating Points had the hive-mind abuzz with a 2:30am Sunday slot, before Steve Miller Band, Totally Mild and the Meredith Gift closed things out.
