Eric B. & Rakim are a pioneering hip-hop duo from New York, active in the late 1980s and early 1990s. DJ Eric B. crafted dense, funk and soul-sampling beats, while MC Rakim is widely regarded as one of the greatest rappers of all time, known for his smooth, complex internal rhyme schemes and cool delivery. Their debut album "Paid in Full" (1987) is a landmark of golden age hip-hop.
