1tbsp is the eclectic dance music project of Australian artist Maxwell Byrne, best known for his work as Golden Vessel. Since debuting the project in 2021 with the kanashī EP via independent label Sumoclic, Byrne has built 1tbsp into a globally recognised act through a string of acclaimed EPs and albums including Joan, It’s Very Loud, Mosquito Love, Megacity1000 and 2025’s Hotel Living. Alongside collaborations with artists such as Mietze Conte, Cherry Chola and DJ ADHD, Byrne earned a Grammy nomination for his contribution to BAYNK’s track “Till It’s Even.” Known for his high-energy live performances, 1tbsp has toured extensively across Australia, North America, Europe and the UK, performing at major festivals including Groovin the Moo, Laneway Festival, Electric Forest, Shambhala Music Festival and Portola Festival, while selling out headline shows around the world. With a new album and international touring plans already in motion for 2026, 1tbsp continues to cement itself as one of Australia’s most exciting electronic exports.
