Ahab is a German band from Ludwigshafen formed in 2004, credited as pioneers of "nautic doom" or "funeral doom" metal. Their concept-driven albums are inspired by maritime literature, most notably Herman Melville's Moby-Dick on their debut "The Call of the Wretched Sea".
