Asmâa Hamzaoui & Bnat Timbouktou

Asmâa Hamzaoui is a Moroccan musician and leader of Bnat Timbouktou, an all-female group rooted in the Gnawa spiritual music tradition. She is one of the rare women to master the guembri (sintir), the bass lute central to Gnawa rituals, and blends traditional trance music with contemporary influences.
