Body Count is a heavy metal band led by rapper Ice-T, formed in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. Their music fuses hardcore punk and heavy metal with hip-hop sensibilities and aggressive, socially charged lyrics. Their 1992 debut gained notoriety for the controversial track "Cop Killer."
