Brakes (also known as Brakes/Oswald Bailey) are a Brighton-based indie rock band formed in 2003, featuring members of Electric Soft Parade. Known for their eclectic mix of lo-fi punk, folk, and noise rock, their songs range from frenetic sub-one-minute blasts to slow, brooding ballads.
