Bud Freeman (1906–1991) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist and a key figure in the Chicago jazz scene of the 1920s and 30s. Known for his warm, swinging tone and lyrical phrasing, he was a prominent member of the Austin High School Gang and later performed with Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman.
