Cryptopsy is a Canadian technical death metal band formed in Montreal in 1988, known for their brutal, chaotic sound and virtuosic musicianship. Their 1996 album *None So Vile* is widely regarded as a landmark in brutal and technical death metal. Vocalist Lord Worm's inhuman growls and drummer Flo Mounier's relentless blast beats became defining elements of their style.
