Dashboard Confessional is the project of singer-songwriter Chris Carrabba, formed in Boca Raton, Florida in 2000. Known for emotionally raw, confessional lyrics delivered over acoustic guitar, the project helped define the early 2000s emo and pop-punk scene. Breakthrough album "The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most" (2001) brought widespread acclaim.
