Digable Planets are a Brooklyn-based hip-hop trio formed in 1990, consisting of Butterfly, Ladybug Mecca, and Doodlebug. Known for their jazz-infused, laid-back sound, they blended cool jazz samples with smooth, understated rapping. Their 1993 debut "Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space)" earned them a Grammy for Best Rap Duo or Group.
