Filipino-Australian DJ, producer and community builder Emel Rowe has become a vital force in Asia’s underground, driven by an instinct for connection both on and off the dance floor. As co-founder of pioneering platforms including UNKNWN, CC, Manila Community Radio, Twelve Points Records and Indanaw, he has dedicated himself to championing homegrown talent and amplifying the creative energy emerging from the region. His journey has taken him to some of the world’s most respected clubs, including Berghain/Panorama Bar, Blitz, about, Elsewhere and Savage, while festivals such as Equation, Wonderfruit, Organik and Sunda have become recurring homes. A former resident at Manila’s legendary TIME and a fixture across the Philippines’ evolving electronic landscape, Emel approaches DJing with rhythm, precision and an unwavering sense of storytelling.
