Europe is a Swedish rock band formed in Upplands Väsby in 1979, best known for their 1986 anthem "The Final Countdown." Their sound blends hard rock with arena rock and glam metal, featuring soaring vocals from Joey Tempest, melodic guitar work, and prominent synthesizer hooks.
