About Fantastic Man

Originally from Melbourne and now based in Berlin, Fantastic Man is the solo project of Mic Newman, whose genre-defying productions and expansive DJ sets have made him one of Australia's most respected electronic artists. Since emerging in 2011, he has built an acclaimed catalogue spanning labels including Wolf Music, Let's Play House, Love on the Rocks, Kitjen and his own Superconscious Records, earning support from the likes of Aphex Twin and Larry Heard for his melodic, rhythmically rich productions. His creative range extends beyond the dancefloor with the Mind Lotion alias and the celebrated LP Altitude Attitudes, while Superconscious—co-founded with Francis Inferno Orchestra—continues to champion emerging Australian artists. Equally at home guiding listeners through ambient soundscapes, tribal acid, house and techno, Fantastic Man's adventurous approach behind the decks has taken him to leading clubs and festivals around the world while cementing his reputation as a singular force in contemporary electronic music.
