Goldie is a British musician and visual artist who became a pioneering figure in drum and bass through his landmark 1995 album *Timeless*. Known for his lush, emotionally complex productions, he helped define the genre with dense breakbeats, deep sub-bass, and orchestral textures. His label Metalheadz became a cornerstone of the UK underground scene.
