High on Fire is an American heavy metal trio formed in Oakland, California in 1998 by guitarist/vocalist Matt Pike, formerly of Sleep. Known for their crushing, fast-paced riffs and thunderous sound, they blend sludge metal, doom, and thrash into a relentless sonic assault.
