John Mooney is a New Orleans-based blues guitarist and vocalist known for blending Delta blues with New Orleans rhythms and funk. His band Bluesiana brings a groove-heavy, swampy sound rooted in slide guitar and second-line beats. He was a student of Son House and carries on the acoustic and electric Delta tradition.
