Jupiter Bokondji has always been on a mission to ensure the world knows all about the music of his home city of Kinshasa. A sometime collaborator with Damon Albarn, Jupiter's deep, soulful vocals and the insistent guitars of his band Okwess transport listeners to the heart of contemporary Africa.
