About Kalima
Kalima were a British band formed in Manchester in the early 1980s by former members of A Certain Ratio, led by Ann Quigley. Signed to Factory Records, they blended jazz-funk, soul and Latin-tinged sophisti-pop influences into a smooth, danceable sound.
