Kermit Ruffins is a New Orleans-based trumpeter, vocalist, and bandleader known for his joyful, laid-back style rooted in traditional New Orleans jazz. A co-founder of the Rebirth Brass Band, he later led his own group, the Barbecue Swingers, blending classic jazz, blues, and R&B with a festive, second-line spirit.
