Marcos Valle is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born in 1943 in Rio de Janeiro. He rose to prominence in the 1960s as a key figure in bossa nova and MPB, later incorporating elements of samba, soul, and electronic music into his work. His 1973 self-titled album is particularly celebrated for its psychedelic and funky experimentation.
