Mike Skinner is the British musician behind The Streets, a project blending UK garage, grime, and hip-hop with witty, conversational lyrics rooted in everyday working-class life. His debut album Original Pirate Material (2002) and follow-up A Grand Don't Come for Free (2004) are considered seminal works of British street music.
