Ministry is an American band formed in Chicago in 1981 by Al Jourgensen, widely regarded as pioneers of industrial metal. Known for aggressive guitar riffs fused with electronic distortion and politically charged lyrics, their landmark album "The Land of Rape and Honey" helped define the genre in the late 1980s.
