About Miss Kaninna

Miss Kaninna is a First Nations artist from Bruny Island whose powerful blend of hip-hop, R&B, rock and pop has made her one of Australia’s most vital emerging voices. Of Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali heritage, she broke through in 2024 with her debut single “Blak Britney,” which earned three ARIA Music Awards nominations, topped triple j, appeared in Heartbreak High and was named by Rolling Stone as one of the best Australian and New Zealand songs of the century. Her debut EP KANINNA went on to win multiple AIR Awards, while her explosive live performances have seen her tour across the UK and Europe with Kneecap and share stages with artists including Amyl and the Sniffers, Hiatus Kaiyote, M.I.A., Stormzy, Steve Lacy and Raye. Alongside accolades from NME and SXSW Sydney, Miss Kaninna continues to use her platform for activism and community advocacy, cementing herself as a fearless cultural force both on and off the stage.
