Nathan Bowles is an American multi-instrumentalist and composer known for his work on clawhammer banjo, rooted in Appalachian folk and experimental traditions. He has released several solo albums and is also known as the drummer for the experimental rock band Black Twig Pickers and for collaborations within the American Primitive and freak-folk scenes.
