Pentagram is an American doom metal band formed in Virginia in the early 1970s, led by vocalist Bobby Liebling. Considered pioneers of doom metal, their slow, heavy riffs and dark, brooding sound were highly influential on the genre. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1985 after years of lineup changes and unreleased recordings.
