Quicksand is an American band formed in New York City in 1990, led by former Gorilla Biscuits guitarist Walter Schreifels. They blended post-hardcore aggression with melodic alternative rock and heavy, groove-laden riffs, becoming influential in the 1990s post-hardcore and alternative metal scenes.
