About Quilapayún
Quilapayún is a Chilean folk group formed in 1965, closely associated with the Nueva Canción Chilena movement. Known for politically charged songs and collaborations with Víctor Jara, they co-created the "Cantata Santa María de Iquique" and were exiled following the 1973 coup.
