Randy Weston is an American jazz pianist and composer known for his deep incorporation of African musical traditions into jazz. His expansive, rhythmically rich style draws on blues, African percussion, and bebop, often featuring large ensembles. He was a prominent figure in Afrocentric jazz from the 1950s onward.
