Ratos de Porão are a Brazilian band from São Paulo, formed in 1981, widely regarded as pioneers of Brazilian hardcore punk and crossover thrash. Fronted by vocalist João Gordo, they blend hardcore punk with thrash and groove metal influences, becoming one of Brazil's most influential extreme music acts.
