Samara Joy is an American jazz vocalist from the Bronx, New York, who rose to prominence after winning the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2019. Known for her rich, warm contralto voice, she draws from classic jazz and bebop traditions. Her 2023 Grammy wins for Best New Artist and Best Jazz Vocal Album brought her widespread recognition.
