Saxon are a British heavy metal band formed in Barnsley, England in 1976, and one of the leading acts of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) movement. Known for Biff Byford's powerful vocals and hard-driving riffs, their classic albums include "Wheels of Steel" and "Strong Arm of the Law." They helped define the sound of traditional heavy metal alongside contemporaries like Iron Maiden and Motörhead.
