Scientist (Hopeton Brown) is a Jamaican reggae sound engineer and record producer who rose to prominence in the late 1970s and 1980s working at Channel One and King Tubby's studio in Kingston. He is renowned for his innovative, effects-heavy dub productions, characterized by deep bass, dramatic echoes, and unpredictable sonic experimentation.
