Shabaka Hutchings is a British saxophonist and clarinetist born in London and raised in Barbados, known for leading multiple acclaimed jazz projects including Sons of Kemet, The Comet Is Coming, and Shabaka and the Ancestors. His music blends spiritual jazz, Afrobeat, and electronic influences, drawing on African and Caribbean musical traditions. He is widely regarded as a central figure in the 2010s UK jazz renaissance.
