Sister Sledge is an American R&B and disco group from Philadelphia, formed by sisters Debbie, Joni, Kim, and Kathy Sledge in the early 1970s. They are best known for their 1979 anthems "We Are Family" and "He's the Greatest Dancer," produced by Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic. Their sound blends lush disco production with soulful harmonies and funk-driven grooves.
