Long form storytelling and a curious digger’s mind, his taste and personality as an artist is driven by honesty and connecting with people by speaking from the heart. Free spirit is the closest description, a wide spectrum of techno that moves through psychedelic passages, touching on the past and the present and turning it into a shared experience. He has appeared at open airs and indoor spaces worldwide, from festivals like Rural and Labyrinth in Japan, Parallel, Houghton, Horst, Dekmantel, Draaimolen and Magnetic Fields to clubs and collectives such as Panorama Bar, Tresor, Precious Hall, Transmissions and a residency at 宀 Minh in Hong Kong. Sunju’s original and various alter ego projects can be found on Siamese Twins, self released works and labels like Transmigration in Berlin. At the core of it, his DJ sets feel like there is always more to uncover and explore as time goes on…
