Tanya Tagaq is a Canadian Inuit throat singer from Cambridge Bay, Nunavut, known for her avant-garde solo style that diverges from traditional paired throat singing. She blends katajjaq with noise, industrial, and experimental music, creating intense and visceral performances. She won the Polaris Music Prize in 2014 for her album Animism.
