About The Avalanches
The Avalanches are an Australian electronic music collective formed in Melbourne in the mid-1990s, known for their intricate, sample-based production. Their debut album *Since I Left You* (2000) is celebrated as a landmark of plunderphonics and dance music, built entirely from thousands of samples. Their follow-up *Wildflower* (2016) continued their lush, collage-like sonic approach.
