The Birthday is a Japanese rock band formed in 2000 by vocalist/guitarist Chibariyo (Yasuyuki Suzuki) after the dissolution of his previous band, Thee Michelle Gun Elephant. Known for raw, garage-influenced rock energy blended with pop sensibility, the group has released numerous studio albums in Japan.
