The Black Keys are an American rock duo from Akron, Ohio, consisting of guitarist/vocalist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney. Formed in 2001, they build their sound on raw, distorted blues-rock guitar riffs and minimalist rhythm, drawing heavily from Delta blues and garage rock traditions.
