About The Chameleons
The Chameleons are a post-punk band from Middleton, Manchester, formed in 1981, known for their atmospheric, guitar-driven sound blending jangly melodic riffs with dark, reverb-heavy textures. Their albums, particularly *Script of the Bridge* (1983) and *Strange Times* (1986), are considered post-punk classics. They disbanded in 1987 following the death of their manager, but reunited in later decades.
