The Dream Syndicate were a Los Angeles-based rock band formed in 1981, led by Steve Wynn. Rooted in the Paisley Underground scene, they blended Velvet Underground-influenced drone rock with psychedelia and guitar-driven noise. Their debut album "The Days of Wine and Roses" (1982) is considered a landmark of alternative rock.
