The Drones were an Australian rock band formed in Perth in 1997, led by singer-guitarist Gareth Liddiard. Known for their intense, literate lyrics and raw, abrasive guitar work, they released acclaimed albums like "Wait Long by the River and the Corpses of Your Enemies Will Float By" and "Havilah".
