About The Libertines
The Libertines are a British rock band formed in London in 1997 by Pete Doherty and Carl Barat. Known for their raw, energetic sound blending punk rock urgency with melodic indie rock, they became icons of the early 2000s UK garage rock revival. Their debut album *Up the Bracket* (2002) is widely regarded as a landmark of the era.
