About The Ravens
The Ravens were an American vocal group formed in New York City in 1946, considered one of the pioneering acts of rhythm and blues. Fronted by bass singer Jimmy Ricks, they helped popularize the bass-lead sound in doo-wop and influenced numerous vocal groups of the 1950s.
