The Selecter are a British ska band formed in Coventry, England in 1979, closely associated with the 2 Tone movement alongside The Specials and Madness. Led by vocalist Pauline Black, their sound blends ska, reggae, and punk energy with sharp political and social commentary. They disbanded and reformed multiple times, remaining active into the 2010s.
