The Whitlams are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1992, fronted by Tim Freedman whose distinctive piano-driven songwriting defines their sound. Known for witty, literary lyrics and melodic indie pop sensibilities, they achieved mainstream Australian success with albums like Eternal Nightcap (1996) and Love This City (1999).
