Trace (Marc Exception) is a UK drum and bass producer and DJ, a founding member of the influential Technical Itch and Virus Recordings camp. Known for his dark, technical, and minimalist approach to drum and bass, he helped define the "techstep" subgenre in the late 1990s alongside artists like Ed Rush.
